The Arnorien Archers have access to the following upgrades:
Arnor banner Banner Carrier - This upgrade can only be given to a level 1 battalion and will promote it to level 2. At level 2 the battalion can regenerate units when out of combat. Cost: 200.
Gondor heavy armor Heavy Armor - Increases the armor, hit points and damage resistance of the unit to ranged damage. Changes the unit's armor set to EdainArcherHeavyArmor. Cost: 300

Strategy[]

This unit is Arnor's basic archer. Although the Rangers have much better damage, the Arnor Archers have a few advantages over them. Firstly, they are much more accessible at half the price. This combined with the fact that they are accessible at the main base (instead of at a settlement) means that they are much easier to recruit. The second big advantage that they have is that they have heavy armour, making them more resistant to melee than the rangers. Their ability also means that they can deal high damage when the enemy comes closer. Although they will inevitably be replaced by the Rangers in the late game, the archers still have their own uses like in the early game and when you are trapped in your base.
