Gimli, son of Glóin, was one of the members of the Fellowship of the Ring. He is the Mass Slayer of Erebor. Gimli was a well-respected dwarf warrior in Middle-earth during the Great Years. After the defeat of Sauron, he was given lordship of the Glittering Caves at Helm's Deep.
Abilities[]
Level 1: Axe Throw (Y) - Powerful ranged attack against a single target. Short cooldown. Left click on the icon then left click on the target enemy.
Level 2: Leap Attack (X) - Gimli jumps to a location, causing area-effect damage. Left click on the icon then left click on the target area.
Level 5: Slayer (C) - Gimli gains +100% damage, +50% movement speed, and his attacks knock back multiple enemies for a short time duration. Left click on the icon to activate.
Level 8: Stubbornness (V) - The stubbornness of the dwarves is unsurpassed. Gimli is a special case in stubbornness, however, and can taunt his foes into madness, causing them to only target him and increase the fury of their attacks. Nearby enemies gain +25% damage and fear resistance but lose -50% armor for 30 seconds. Left click on the icon to activate.

Mithril Coat - Requires some veterans to be sent into a Dwarven Forge. Dwarven heroes will then have the ability to purchase the Mithril Mail upgrade. The Mithril Mail gives Dwarven heroes extreme resistance to all damage. Changes Gimli's armorset to edainwarriorheroarmorupgrade. Cost: 500

Strategy[]
As Erebor's mass slayer , Gimli doesn't support his allies but can smash the enemy armies. Leap alone can win whole battles if used on the correct targets. Stubbornness will let the powerful dwarven units wipe out enemy battalions easily at risk of losing Gimli. Slayer can be used to tear small armies apart with the bonus splash damage that it grants. Gimli also has quite a few options against strong targets. Axe Throw will let him weaken heroes and monsters, while Slayer can let him chase down fleeing targets. However, Gimli may have some problems if a hero killer arrives and doesn't have his abilities ready. Despite this, Gimli is still a good choice hero. His abilities just need to be skillfully managed to reach his full potential.
