The Isengard Lumber Mill is a settlement resource building which uses Orc Laborers to rip down trees to fuel the fires of industry. All that extra lumber lying around makes for cheaper buildings if two Lumber Mills are built.
Level Up Upgrades Edit
You can upgrade this building only twice. The first time you must choose one of the first three upgrades, and the second time you must choose one of the second three upgrades.
Resource Production Edit
The Lumber Mill is a basic resource building. To this end it can recruit Orc Laborers for a cost of 30 resources. These have 60 hit points and can be toggled between automatically harvesting resources or remaining idle.
The Lumber Mill provides a reduction to the cost of buildings up to 30%:
- 2 Lumber Mills: 10%
- 3 Lumber Mills: 20%
- 4 Lumber Mills: 30%
- The Lumber Mills can be useful in the early game, mainly due to their building cost reduction. This can help save money early when building other resource buildings and Uruk Pits . This cost reduction is even more useful in the late game (due to expensive Siege Works and Armories). However, their use is very situational as their effectiveness depends on the amount of trees in the area. Once the trees are gone, the Lumber Mill has much less use. Also, they are difficult to defend as the enemy only has to kill the labourers to stop it from producing resources.
