"He was tall, and seemed to be one of the younger Ents; he had smooth shining skin on his arms and legs; his lips were ruddy, and his hair was grey-green. He could bend and sway like a slender tree in the wind. At last he spoke, and his voice though resonant was higher and clearer than Treebeard's."
—Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Recruit the youngest ent of Fangorn Forest, Quickbeam (Bregalad in Sindarin). The rowan-trees in his keeping suffered greatly at the hands of Saruman'sOrcs, so he was the first ent to make his mind up at the Entmoot. He sheltered the two hobbits, Merry and Pippin, in his home while the other ents made up their minds at the entmoot. He played a great part in the Ents' resulting attack on Isengard. Like other ents he can throw rocks or deal AOE damage to units. His youth and eagerness allow his normal movement speed to be faster than that of all other ents. He is recruited at level 10 from the Entmoot settlement expansion.
This hero has no upgrades. This means that this hero can not gain any sort of permanent boost from upgrades found in either its palantir or from other units/heroes. If this is not the case, fill in the section following the policy.
"Quickbeam is a gentle creature, but he hates Saruman all the more fiercely for that: his people suffered cruelly from orc-axes. He leapt down the path from the inner gate, and he can move like a wind when he is roused."
Quickbeam and other ents deal AOE damage when throwing rocks or attacking directly. Similarly to other ents, his main use is to destroy enemy buildings, either directly or from range. He can also be used to fight enemy units easily, thanks to his AOE attacks. He is vulnerable to fire, but his advantage is that his hastiness allows him to enter combat or flee very quickly, unlike other ents and Treebeard. Also, if you are wanting to recruit both ent heroes, always recruit Quickbeam first and then use his Entmoot ability; that way Treebeard won't be far behind (make sure you will have enough resources first before activating though).
