"Neither he nor Frodo knew anything of the great slave-worked fields away south..., beyond the fumes of the Mountain by the dark sad waters of Lake Núrnen; nor of the great roads that ran away east and south to tributary lands, from which the soldiers of the Tower brought long waggon-trains of... booty and fresh slaves."
The Return of the King

The Tribute Camp is where the nations of the desert, Harad and Rhun, come to offer their tribute of resources in addition to the one provided with their blood in the form of Mumakil, Easterlings, Haradrim Lancers and Rhun Halberdier Warriors. This provides Mordor with the necessary resources to fight on and plunge the world in darkness. As per most resource buildings they can be upgraded twice with either the Pantry upgrade, the Resources upgrade or the Defensive Measures upgrade.

Level Up Upgrades Edit

Production increase Production Increase - increases resource production by 33%; grants level 2 (cost: 150).

Pantry Pantry - increases the command point total by 120; grants level 2 (cost: 300).

Defensive measures Defensive Measures - increases the building's hitpoints by 1500; grants level 2 (cost: 150).

Improved production Improved Production - increases resource production by an additional 50%; grants level 3 (cost: 300).

Improved pantry Improved Pantry - increases the command point total by an additional 240; grants level 3 (cost: 600).

Improved defensive measures Improved Defensive Measures - increases the building's hitpoints by an additional 1500 and adds an arrow tower which automatically fires at any enemies within range; grants level 3 (cost: 300).

You can upgrade this building only twice. The first time you must choose one of the first three upgrades, and the second time you must choose one of the second three upgrades.

Other Upgrades Edit

Influence of sauron Influence of Sauron - Sauron can use his level 3 ability, Influence of Sauron, to imbue this building with his will:

  • Provides upgrades to the Reinforcements from Rhun and Harad. This will automatically grant Heavy Armor and War Paint (Mumak only) to the spawned units. This does not affect Khamul's Black Easterlings.

Function Edit

The Tribute Camp generates resources and provides a reduction to the cool-down time of spellbook spells up to 25%:

  • 2 Tribute camps: 5%
  • 3 Tribute camps: 10%
  • 4 Tribute camps: 15%
  • 5 Tribute camps: 20%
  • 6 or more Tribute camps: 25%

Strategy Edit

Having many Tribute Camps will allow spellbook powers to cool down faster, essentially allowing you to use them more often, summoning more troops at an incredible speed (especially considering that having 6 of these means a whole quarter of the reload time is taken out). It's a must have if you want to focus on using units from Harad and Rhun; if instead you're going for a massive fire Orc Archer army, it's probably better to go with Arsenals.
